Clipkin doesn't paste into my app

Clipkin presses ⌘V for you, which macOS files under Accessibility. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security › Accessibility and turn on Clipkin. Until then Clipkin copies the item and shows “Copied — press ⌘V”.

The shortcut doesn't open Clipkin

⌘⇧V is also “Paste and Match Style” in some apps, and another app may already own it. Choose a different shortcut in Settings › Shortcuts (for example ⌥⌘V).

Something I copied from my password manager isn't in history

That's on purpose. Clipkin never saves items that password managers mark as private, and it ignores 1Password, Bitwarden, Apple Passwords and other password managers. Detected API keys, tokens and one-time codes are hidden and deleted after 10 minutes; change this in Settings › Privacy.

Translate asks to download a language

Translation runs on your Mac using Apple's languages. macOS downloads each language once, the first time you use it.

Moving to a new Mac

Use Settings › Backup › Export on the old Mac and Import on the new one. The backup is a plain JSON file, so keep it somewhere safe.
